i cleaned windows
Brothers and sisters, today I went to the temple, but not to do baptisms or confirmations, but rather to serve. And I mean this when I say, this was the BEST temple trip I've done. I had the wonderful opportunity to go and personally clean Heavenly Father's house. I got to wear white and clean the glass to the entrance of the temple. I got to make His Holy House sparkly and clean for His other children to come in and serve Him. It was such a humbling experience. Everyone there that worked beside me felt the spirit just as strongly as I did. I have never wanted to clean and wash windows as much as I did today. I felt no pain or had any feeling to want to quit and stop. I wholeheartedly believe that in itself was a blessing I received from taking time out of my day to serve Heavenly Father. Some other blessings that I did receive because I went, were that I got to go through the temple. If you're wondering what that's a big deal or blessing, I'll tell you. Going through the temple is a special and privileged thing. To go through you have to be above a certain age, have to hold a recommend, have to be endowed, and for converts of age you have to have waited a year before going through. In the tour I got today, I got to go onto the roof, see a sealing room, see the bridal's room, see the garden, and see the beautiful floating staircase. I wasn't supposed to go through or see any of what I did officially for another 9 months! That's why it was such an amazing and beautiful blessing to me. I am truly humbled that I was able to go and see the Holy House of Heavenly Father AND get to serve Him by cleaning it. Who would have ever thought cleaning some windows at 7 in the morning would be such a humbling and amazing experience.
