dad

Oh what a day to celebrate FATHER's!

Some people have one father, some have two, some don't even have one, and some have some because of marriage. But the point of the matter is, today is the day that is designated to celebrate the men in our lives that have helped us shape ourselves into who we are. This isn't just something that is celebrated in these 50 states under this one nation, this is a global event.  And thank goodness for that.

Whether you were taught to ride your bike, fish or fix the car with your dad or not, those that have those memories get to have the opportunity to reflect, remember, and thank those that had a great impact on them. Sure, not everyone has great experiences with their father's and maybe today is just like any other day for them. But for me, today is SO special, because my dad is so rad.

So everyone, this is Edward Espinosa. My father.

What a goofy goofy man he is. Anyways here just a little about my dad,
1) He is the king of puns.
2) He is a father to not only one sassy daughter, BUT to FOUR sassy daughters, and a growing sassy granddaughter.

3) He is the most creative interior designer that I personally know, who has also been recognized as San Diego's best bathroom and kitchen remodel.
4) He LOVES metal detecting and even gifted my husband his wedding band (a Tungsten ring-retail $250).
5) He loves fishing and shared his love for fishing with me. Whether it was deep sea, or on the pier between him, myself and a bucket of KFC we shared memories I'll remember forever.
6) He loves me unconditionally and has supported me through EVERYTHING. Even me leaving the church he raised me in, moving four states away, and then marrying a man I only dated for a few months.

7) He isn't like his father, he is SO much better than him, and I am so grateful for that.

8) He LOVES playing a car racing game on his iPad, and kicks total butt.
9) His hashbrowns are not from this world. And don't even get me started on his mashed potato hot dog rolled tacos. ***Don't judge if you haven't tried them.
10) He will do anything in the world to make his wife and daughters happy.

11) He's not afraid of getting a cup of water out to get you out of bed, NO MATTER how old you get.
12) He has a terrible memory about where he parks the car.
13) He has infamously lost every one of his children at some sort of amusement park or big event.
14) He has a nickname, it's Wheezy. Mostly because if you get him laughing hard enough he starts to wheeze. It gets to the point where sometimes he just can't even breathe.

15) He cries at all the sad Disney movies.
16) He has kissed all my boo-boo's, and has hugged and loved me through heart break.
17) He has raised four AMAZING children, and picked a smoking hot wife.
18) He's given up and sacrificed so much so we, as his children, could follow our dreams.

19) He's a wicked dad that is and will continue to become over the next part of his life a phenomenal grandfather/tata.

20) He's the best dad a little girl could have ever asked for.

My dad is the best in the whole world. But I'm also very biased. This man has done countless things for me to make sure I feel supported and loved ALWAYS. I cannot formulate the sentences to fully let you comprehend just how amazing of a man he truly is. My dad has been through so much, yet he never let the hard times bring him down. He is both physically and mentally strong. He's one of the best and biggest examples that I have in my life of someone who works hard and reaps the regards.

I love you Wheezy, and I'm so grateful for everything that you have done for me. Happy Father's Day.
